Problem
For this project Kids Bumper, I was tasked with creating a 15-second to 45-seconds TV bumper for a Kids Channel that would reveal the station’s logo and preview the upcoming program in a fun and engaging way for children aged 6 to 12. The assignment required designing a dynamic animation using 3D elements assembled in Cinema 4D, with the freedom to develop a unique visual style that appeals to the target audience. While free 3D models could be incorporated with approval, the final composition and rendering were completed in After Effects. The challenge was to combine creativity, technical 3D skills, and animation principles to produce an energetic and memorable Kids Channel that effectively captures the playful essence of the channel.
Responsibility
My responsibilities for the Kids Bumper project included designing the overall animation, creating and assembling all 3D elements in Cinema 4D, and ensuring that the visuals were engaging and appropriate for children aged 6 to 12. also manage and use the integration of approved 3D models, to develop a unique visual style for the Kids Bumper, and handle the final composition and rendering in After Effects. Additionally, focus on applying animation principles and technical 3D skills to deliver a polished, dynamic, and memorable bumper that effectively showcase the channel’s logo and upcoming programming.
Design Process
As the 3D Model Designer for this Kids Channel TV bumper project I chose to work on Nickelodeon so, I designed and assembled all 3D elements in Cinema 4D. I went beyond the brief by creating multiple stages leading up to the final Up Next scene, adding depth and narrative flow to the animation. Each stage was carefully modeled, textured, and lit to maintain a playful and engaging style. I integrated approved free 3D models when needed and customized them to match the overall design. As a Motion Graphic Designer For the Nickelodeon Kids Channel TV bumper project, I applied my motion graphics skills to, design, and animate a 40-second bumper that engaged children aged 6 to 12. As the 3D Model Designer, I created and assembled all 3D elements in Cinema 4D, developing multiple stages leading up to the final Up Next scene to add depth and narrative flow. I integrated and customized approved 3D models, applied careful texturing, lighting, and animation principles, and crafted a unique visual style for the Nickelodeon Kids Channel TV bumper project. Using After Effects, I handled the final composition and rendering, combining creativity and technical expertise to deliver a polished, dynamic, and memorable animation that effectively showcased the channel logo and upcoming program.
Final Result
For the Nickelodeon Kids Channel TV bumper project, I successfully designed, and animated a 40-seconds bumper that engaged children aged 6 to 12, combining my skills as a Motion Graphic Designer and 3D Model Designer. I created and assembled all 3D elements in Cinema 4D, going beyond the original brief by developing multiple intermediate stages leading up to the final Up Next scene, which added depth, narrative flow, and a playful visual progression. I integrated and customized approved 3D models, carefully applied texturing, lighting, and animation principles, and crafted a unique visual style that captured the energy and essence of the channel. Using After Effects, I handled the final composition and rendering, ensuring smooth transitions, polished motion, and dynamic presentation. The final result was a professional, visually engaging, and memorable project that effectively showcased the channel’s logo and upcoming programming while demonstrating creativity, technical 3D expertise, and motion graphics proficiency.
